Join us as we raise money for the Linn Benton County Food Drive during the month of February by purchasing Krispy Kreme Donuts! If you would like to purchase a box, please fill out this<\/a> form by Monday, February 6<\/strong>. Each box will have a dozen glazed donuts in it for $15. Each dollar donated to the food drive is equivalent to gifting 7.5 pounds of food or 6 meals at the food pantry. Each person who purchases a box will also be entered into a raffle to win a Dutch Bros gift card! You will be able to pick up your donuts on Sunday, February 12th between 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through a generous gift by Dr. Kim Eagle (HC grad \u201976), the Honors College is pleased to offer a paid internship with the Michigan Clinical Outcomes Research and Reporting Program (MCORRP<\/a>). This summer internship program is a 10-week opportunity, starting in early<\/strong> June <\/strong>and concluding in August<\/strong>, at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor. More information can be found here<\/a>. The internship includes a stipend, as well as a housing and travel allowance. To apply students should be interested in pursuing a career in healthcare, and be a strong steward of OSU and the Honors College. After two years of virtual programming Discovering the Scientist Within (DSW) is back in person! A half-day workshop designed to inspire middle school girls to pursue careers in STEM fields, 6th-8th grade participants will engage in two hands-on STEM activities in topics like computer science, pharmacy, forestry, engineering, or ocean science! The event will be Saturday, March 11, from 8:15 a.m. until 12:15 p.m<\/strong>. Registration will open in early February and will be on the DSW webpage<\/a>. All youth must register individually. The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS-PD) has an annual conference that is open to undergraduate students. This year they are partnering with the Northwest Scientific Association for a joint conference that will be held at Western Washington University (Bellingham, WA) from Tuesday, March 21 until Friday, March 24, with a remote option. The OSU Energy Efficiency Center (EEC) is looking for motivated student energy\/technical analysts to work part-time during the school year (10-12 hrs\/week) and during the summer (30-40 hrs\/week). The OSU EEC offers comprehensive, student-led, on-site energy and productivity assessments to small and medium-sized manufacturers through a US Department of Energy funded program. Student teams advised by engineering faculty visit manufacturers and seek ways to increase their productivity and reduce energy use and waste. These engineering analyses and improvement recommendations are compiled into a report and delivered to the client. It is a great way to see many different industrial processes and learn about ways to save energy. More information can be found here<\/a> about the OSU Energy Efficiency Center. Student Symposium, Future Net-Zero Innovators<\/strong>
Boise State University, Idaho State University and the University of Idaho are hosting the first ever Future Net-Zero Innovators (FuNZI) symposium for undergraduate and graduate students at the Center for Advanced Energy Studies (CAES) in Idaho Falls, Idaho on Wednesday March 29 until Friday, March 31<\/strong>.

ASA is now hiring tutors for winter 2023. These are paid on-campus positions that offer flexible schedules. They are also a wonderful opportunity to use the content knowledge you have gained in the classroom, while also helping fellow students better gain subject mastery, and the organizational skills needed to excel at OSU. Applications are now open for the Oregon State University (OSU) “Robots in the Real World” summer Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) Site. You can learn more about the program here<\/a>. This year’s program will run from June 26 to September 1, 2023, on the main OSU campus in Corvallis, OR. The Impact of ADHD on Quality of Life and Peer Relations in College Students is a study being conducted for an Honors Thesis. Participation involves taking a 30-minute Qualtrics survey<\/a>. To be eligible to participate, you must have ADHD (either official or self-diagnosis), be 18 or older, and be a college student. Anytime Anywhere: MySSP @ OSU is an app that gives all OSU students, including Ecampus students, 24\/7 access by text or phone with a licensed mental health counselor (MySSP stands for \u201cMy Student Support Program\u201d). The app makes it easy to schedule short-term counseling appointments with the same ongoing counselor and provides educational materials covering mental health topics. Students can communicate with a counselor in five different languages (Mandarin, Cantonese, French, Spanish or English); additional language options are available upon request.
