These Showcases are an excellent way to connect with faculty members, learn more about their research and potentially get involved in projects that could be the basis of an HC thesis. Even if you don\u2019t yet feel ready to begin research or are not sure about your interests, attending these events helps you explore opportunities and make connections. Winter term course registration is quickly approaching! Helpful tips and reminders for registration can be found on the HC Academic Advising Canvas<\/a> page. When determining your courses for next term, it is vital that you see your major advisor before your HC academic advisor. Your major academic advisor is key in informing you of what classes you must take to stay on track for your major. As a reminder, your HC academic advisor does not provide you your registration PIN. Be sure to connect with your major advisor before your registration date.<\/p>\n\n\n\nScholarship Opportunities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
If you or your family has been financially impacted by COVID-19 you may be eligible to receive aid from the American Rescue Plan. Applications found here<\/a> must be submitted by Tuesday, Oct. 19. Payments will be sent out by Monday, Oct. 25.<\/strong> Contact the office of financial aid with any questions that you may have. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Honors College recognizes that these may continue to be challenging times for Honors College students and their families. We encourage students who are experiencing difficulty paying the costs associated with Honors College enrollment apply here<\/a> for a one-term Honors College Differential Tuition and Emergency Grant. A local chapter of the national nonprofit organization PERIOD will be holding a hygiene product drive<\/strong> for one week, starting on Wednesday, Oct. 22<\/strong>. They will be collecting menstrual and other hygiene products, such as deodorant and body wash, to donate to the HSRC as well as to Community Outreach, Inc. in Corvallis. Donation boxes will be placed in buildings around OSU<\/strong>, including the Memorial Union, Student Experience Center, Valley Library, Hattie Redmond Women & Gender Center, Lonnie B. Harris Black Cultural Center and Asian & Pacific Cultural Center. Make a donation to help eradicate period poverty in the community!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
