Participate in a Focus Group about the COVID-19 Vaccine!<\/strong> We are interested in how people\u2019s attitudes and worldviews may influence their experiences and opinions about the COVID-19 vaccine. We are interested in interviewing folks who have some reservations, hesitations or concerns about the COVID-19 vaccine. We are interested in people from all walks of life, with a range of attitudes and experiences. You must be between the ages of 18 and 30, have some hesitations or reservations about the COVID-19 vaccine and be a currently enrolled college or university student. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Participants will receive an electronic $25 Amazon gift card to participate in a one to two hour-long focus group conducted via Zoom. <\/strong>Through the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, OSU has emergency funding to award to currently enrolled OSU students. Apply here<\/a>.
CRRSAA eligibility includes:
– Undergraduate, graduate and certificate seeking students enrolled at any of our campuses, including Ecampus.
– You must have a current FAFSA application on file.
– Students will be prioritized by their level of need based on their FAFSA application.
– Eligible expenses include all the components of a student’s cost of attendance or emergency costs that arise due to coronavirus, such as tuition, food, housing, health care (including mental health care), or child care.
– International students, DACA students, and undocumented students are not eligible for this funding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All continuing Honors College students who want to be considered for HC tuition scholarships for the 2021-2022 academic year must<\/strong> complete an application to the Oregon State University Honors College Differential Tuition Scholarship in OSU ScholarDollars here<\/a>. This application opened on January 1, 2021, so it may not have been accessible if you were previously in the system. The Honors College recognizes that this may be a particularly challenging time for Honors College students and their families. We encourage students who are experiencing difficulty paying the costs associated with Honors College enrollment to apply<\/a> for a one-term Honors College Differential Tuition and Emergency Grant. Determinations will be made on a rolling basis and will consider both need and the likelihood of earning the Honors Baccalaureate.
Inability to pay Honors College differential tuition or other costs this term should not be the primary barrier to any student’s successful graduation from the college or continuation as an honors student.<\/strong><\/strong> Approved grants may be for the full HC differential tuition (currently $500) or a portion of it and are for one-term only. Grants will not be renewed for additional terms, but students can reapply. Typically, students can only receive two Differential Tuition and Emergency Grant during their time in the Honors College. The Warren Lab at Oregon State University is seeking student field technicians for summer 2021! Research will be part of an ongoing project assessing alternative riparian buffers on managed landscapes. Students will receive hands-on research experience in sampling aquatic food webs, as well as field experience working in remote settings in a small crew. The project leaders are specifically looking for students with a background or interest in fisheries, forestry, ecology, and similar areas of work.
