We encourage students who are experiencing difficulty paying the costs associated with Honors College enrollment to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/honors.oregonstate.edu\/webform\/hc-differential-tuition-grants\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">apply<\/a> for a one-term Honors College Differential Tuition and Emergency Grant. Determinations will be made on a rolling basis and will consider both need and the likelihood of earning the Honors Baccalaureate.<strong>&nbsp;<br><br><strong>Inability to pay Honors College differential tuition or other costs this term should not be the primary barrier to any student&#8217;s successful graduation from the college or continuation as an honors student.<\/strong><\/strong>&nbsp;Approved grants may be for the full HC differential tuition (currently $500) or a portion of it and are for one-term only. START Leaders serve as an expert orientation resource for incoming students and their families, as well as campus partners and officials. Apply to be an Academic Learning Assistant for 2021-2022 Year<\/strong><br>Academic&nbsp;Learning Assistants&nbsp;are live-in, part-time (15-hour)&nbsp;student employees of Residential Education within the department of University Housing and Dining Services. They&nbsp;are responsible for providing academic support and faculty engagement opportunities in their assigned residential community. ALAs play an integral role in OSU\u2019s First Year Experience program, supporting first year students in their adjustment to the academic culture and rigor of Oregon State University. They work an average of 15 hours per week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ALAs work to cultivate strong academic habits and college knowledge, promote engagement with university resources, and assist students in navigating the university landscape.
