This means that many of you will see a new cluster assignment&nbsp;or several new members.&nbsp;Those who completed our feedback survey in late fall were placed in conversation clusters matching those requests. Many asked to be&nbsp;grouped by year&nbsp;and by college.&nbsp;Based on feedback we have received, we ask that all students give what they can to these groups, recognizing that for some, these meetings are critical to their well-being and are important to creating a sense of belonging and community.&nbsp; &nbsp;<br><br>To begin&nbsp;winter term, we\u2019ll again focus on getting to know one another, establishing our meeting day, time, and format with t<strong>he first 100 clusters to complete the initial assignment in canvas receiving dinner on us!<\/strong><br><br>If you have questions regarding your cluster assignment or if you need assistance in convening your initial group meeting please&nbsp;reach out to <a href=\"mailto:LeeAnn.Baker@oregonstate.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">LeeAnn.Baker@oregonstate.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>NEW! If you have any other questions, feel free to email Emily at&nbsp;emily.garcia@oregonstate.edu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>HC 409: Professional &amp; Career Development Course<\/strong><br>Interested in preparing for life after college?&nbsp;This professional and career development course is designed to increase your awareness of skills necessary for a successful transition to adulting! It is designed around the importance of understanding the self, identity, and professional values in career development.&nbsp;This course will be offered during <strong>Winter 2021<\/strong> for <strong>one credit<\/strong> and will be primarily asynchronous, with two&nbsp;meetings scheduled for <strong>week 3<\/strong> and <strong>week 7<\/strong> from <strong>12:00-12:50 p.m<\/strong>. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Emily Garcia at emily.garcia@oregonstate.edu<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-color wp-block-heading\" style=\"color:#d73f09\"><strong>Scholarship<\/strong> Opportunities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Honors College Differential Tuition and Emergency Grant<\/strong><br>The Honors College recognizes that this may be a particularly challenging time for Honors College students and their families. We encourage students who are experiencing difficulty paying the costs associated with Honors College enrollment to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/honors.oregonstate.edu\/webform\/hc-differential-tuition-grants\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">apply<\/a> for a one-term Honors College Differential Tuition and Emergency Grant. Determinations will be made on a rolling basis and will consider both need and the likelihood of earning the Honors Baccalaureate.<strong>&nbsp;<br><br><strong>Inability to pay Honors College differential tuition or other costs this term should not be the primary barrier to any student&#8217;s successful graduation from the college or continuation as an honors student.<\/strong><\/strong>&nbsp;Approved grants may be for the full HC differential tuition (currently $500) or a portion of it and are for one-term only. Apply to be a START Leader for Summer 2021<\/strong><br>The START Leader application is now open for admissions, recruiting students for summer 2021. START Leaders serve as an expert orientation resource for incoming students and their families, as well as campus partners and officials. They act as a role model and mentor for new students and&nbsp;facilitate small group sessions of new students. START Leaders also share their own OSU story to build student connection to the university, communicate with students about their transition to OSU and host social events for new students.<br><br>Everyone is welcome to apply &#8211; OSU hopes to have the staff look, feel and sound like real incoming students. Inspired in part by <a href=\"https:\/\/postsecret.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Post Secret<\/a>, this project asks students, staff, and faculty to <strong>write a postcard with an anonymous note<\/strong> to campus. Postcards will be displayed in the windows of Valley Library and as a digital exhibit.
