This\nspring, students will be given the chance to exercise their creativity\nremotely, via an Ecampus version of Honors Introduction to Fiction Writing with\nProfessor Rob Drummond. The course, which is a new take on the standard face-to-face\nversion of the class, will allow students to experience the fiction writing\nprocess electronically with an Honors-twist. <\/p>\n\n\n

The class is set up to first build on students\u2019 writing proficiency and ease them into reading fiction and performing writing exercises. Then, students will be given some freedom to write on their own, ending the term with their own short story. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rob\n Drummond guarantees in the course description, \u201cYou\u2019ll walk out of the \nclass a better writer and a more discriminating consumer of stories\n in all mediums.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The course will be a worthwhile challenge —\none that encourages students to think \ncreatively, improve their writing, and learn to harness the power of \nnarrative, an important skill for any profession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
