The best fortune 500 companies to work for in 2020 are the Hilton, the Ultimate Software, and the Wegmans Food Markets[1]. What I learned is that these companies have similar HR practices especially in talent acquisition and recruitment where these companies screening, source, and onboard the best talents available, conduct employee training and development and also perform effective performance management. These companies also have clear ethical and legal considerations in conjunction with conflict resolution.

HR Insights from the Best Companies to Work for in 2020

The modern world is rapidly changing and the business landscape must adapt. Some of these changes include the “Work from Home” trend exacerbated by the recent Covid-19 Pandemic. Human resource is the driving force for any organizational operations, success as it defines and nature companies’ employees[2]. The top three companies listed in the 2020 Fortune Best Companies to Work For provides golden HR practices which can be optimized by any aspiring manager

The Ultimate Software: Trust and Transparency

These companies utilize The Ultimate Software to implement extraordinary workplace. They prioritize employee empowerment, transparency, and trust. Open door strategy as well as employee involvement in decision making processes promotes ownership culture in the organization[3]. This approach offers better ways to ensure employees are operating at their optimal capacity. The duties of the HR in supporting these aspects is critical.

Prioritizing Employee Well-being

Wegmans Food Markets, provides excellent employee benefits, ensure legal compliance and balances. The HR practices illustrates an extensive commitment to staff well-being. This demonstrates that managers need to prioritize the general employee satisfaction and general well-being. The HR is tasked with offering extensive benefits that are in line with the objective.

Effective managers face several issues pertaining balancing different needs of diverse employees, effectively managing, and ensuring legal compliance[4]. Effective management of these daunting challenges demands efficient collaboration with the HR who can offer guidance on employee relation, support in navigating complexities pertaining employee issues including conflict resolution.

My objective as a future manager, is to prioritize open communication, employee well-being, and growth while identifying and solving challenges associated with organization management. learning from these exemplary organization and working closely with HR facilitates becoming the kind of manager that prioritize a workplace environment that fosters employee growth and development.
