My favorite technology in space invaders so far is the 8080 processor. Even though it can be difficult to understand some of the low level information about the 8080 processor, it is still very interesting to learn about and how to emulate the functions of a CPU to run the space invaders project.

One idea that my project gave me about AI is how effectively are the advances in AI being used to make breakthroughs in fields like systems programming. I know that machine learning has been widely applied to any field involving data but how much problem-solving compute is devoted to solving some of the harder problems in fields like operating systems. Working with topics like this feels vastly different than writing something like html/JavaScript for a website, for example.

Another interesting filed that I think AI should be applied more is the field of medical data. HIPAA and other considerations aside, the amount of medical data being collected these days is vast and holds important connections that can be used to better healthcare outcomes. The work that I do employs some AI and we work to reduce hospitals bills in the effort to make healthcare cheaper for everyone.
