Mary Anderson- Inventor
January 14th, 2010Mary Anderson invented the first ever windshield wiper that was manually operated using a crank inside of the car. She came up with this invention in 1903 and by 1916 the majority of the cars had their very own windshield wiper. She is an inspiring women for those of us who know just how hard it is to see out of a car without a windshield wiper. Where would we Oregonians be without her today?
