My name is Guleid and I am finishing up this semester with the Capstone Project so wanted to share a little bit about how I got here. I worked in export compliance for a long time before realizing one morning that I wasn’t feeling fulfilled in the work that I was doing and wanted to make a change. I started researching different fields and that is what drew me to computer science. I love the field with having multiple solutions to the same problem but also the collaborative environment. I am someone who always loves learning something new and it seems like there is something new in this space all the time that makes me very excited to discover and I think this degree program has allowed me to cover different topics to allow me to discover what I am really passionate about.
I have been able to explore front end development, working with databases, parallel programming, algorithms amongst a host of different subjects that has helped kept me always learning.
