Well, folks. That just about does it for me. Last two weeks of class and the last blog post. It has been a quick, wild ride and I still can’t believe it’s almost over. In just a few weeks I will be done with the capstone project and finally done with school!
This class was a nice finish to the last couple years and really brought together everything I’ve learned so far. It has been great actually making a full project and having something that I can add to my portfolio. I almost wish I had a little more time so I wasn’t rushing to get it done. But, hey I can’t complain about how our app is coming together and definitely can’t complain about school being over.
I’ve really enjoying capstone even though I was really worried at the beginning. I don’t typically like group projects but this one has been pretty great. It’s nice having three people to brainstorm ideas and make the project happen. I’m also glad we got to choose a project to work on rather than the list provided. That is my only issue with the class. The list of projects to work on seemed very odd and nothing I really wanted to do. Either the project was in C++ or a language I am not trying to learn in a few weeks, or it was in a language I know but for a project I don’t care for. I would suggest giving students either more options or let them know it’s totally ok to come up with their own. But other than that, it has been a great experience.
