  • Why did you and your team choose the technologies you did?
My team is working on AI code and we had several AI tools we were interested in such as GPT3.5, GPT4, Bard, Github Copilot, but unfortunately Bard is only available in the US and UK and my teammates are located in Asia and after some initial testing GPT4 seems more accurate and gives better results than Bard, so we elected to work mainly with GPT4. We will be using GPT3.5 as comparisons, but we don’t think it will be very relevant to use older AI tools. With the use of AI tools we want to research this new field and give an insight as the methods or practices to be the most effective.
  • How will your project use them?
My team will use mainly GPT4 basically for every step in the process, from developing project plan, high level design, front end, back end, database and integration. The hope is that we’ll be able to complete a web application using AI tools.
  • What are their pros and cons?
These tools are very powerful but they currently have a lot of limitations and we are trying to find how to extract the most of out these tools and find their limitations
  • What were the alternatives?
The altenatives are Bard, Github copilot, Gpt3.5 and amazon code whisperer.
  • What do you like or dislike about your system UI/UX?
Even though our main project is AI coder, the plan is to fully create a web application using these AI tools. This web application is the Programming Quiz, which is intended for employers to create their quizzes that they can then send to potential candidates and grade their responses and potentially hire some of those candidates. The main issue I currently have with our UI/UX is that we want to fully create it using AI and I think we will lose some customization by fully relying in the AI tools
  • What do you like or dislike about your server/backend system/API?
I think is the same issue as the UI/UX design, in which we may lose some customization because we will be fully relying in AI tools to create these for us.
  • What do you like or dislike about your design modularity? Does it enable each of your to work independently?
I think we were able to create a detail plan that assigned items to everybody, so we are all pretty busy trying to do our part.
