In this class I was able to learn a lot and a few of my favorite concepts were from week one about the application process. I think that is a big part of future success after graduation. I also really enjoyed typical vs maximum performance in week 5. I think that shows a lot of hows how to gauge yourself as well as when you are recruiting what things to look for to get the best possible candidate for your company. My favorite week and the one I learned a lot from was week four Designing Recruitment Ads & Evaluating Recruitment Strategies. I felt like this topic was beneficial to both the recruitment and the recruiter. Just as I am about to graduate college I want to know how to stand out to people that make the decision of who will be hired. What better way to figure out how a recruiter thinks that understand the recruitment strategies. I think that this is the most beneficial way to understand how things work is by getting knowledge and background of what the people making the hiring decisions think like. I also think that someday a lot of people will be in charge of making a hiring decision or part of some recruitment strategy and this is really beneficial and will help in the long term aspect of a business students professional career.
My overall favorite part of the week four Designing Recruitment Ads & Evaluating Recruitment Strategies was the video on recruitment ads and the tips to creating a good one. This seems to be very important when you want to select not only a lot of applicants but the ones that are going to benefit your company.
