Fall, Week 1: September 30-October 6
Competencies
- Understand the value of a syllabus
- Can articulate the components of their syllabi and integrate due dates into a schedule
- Can develop a term plan, including important class dates, personal commitments, job commitments, etc.
- Understand how each assignment and test impacts the final grade
- Can articulate how an instructor handles absences and how missing a class can impact grade
- Understand the purpose and goals of the OSU Baccalaureate Core and how to identify what categories and outcomes each bacc core course fulfills
Strategies
- Resident Director or academic partner facilitated program
- Bulletin board in central location with detachable fliers/instruction (hall staff would construct utilizing information from facilitate program resources)
