Competencies
- Determine shared community standards, post visibly on floor
- Convey less essential policy violations
- Gain clear understanding of hall government and ways to get involved
- Begin or continue to establish a floor/wing community
- Knowledge of RA/resident 1:1s
- Gain tools to briefly and initially manage others’ suicidal ideation or reports of assault before getting staff assistance
- Understanding of the roommate agreement and impact on their living situation. This document can be updated by residents at any point during the year.
- Upper Division students will be informed of the changes in the residential living experience due to FYE
Strategies
- Hold Wing/Floor/Community Meeting (NOTE: entire agenda can be covered in one meeting, OR it may be split over two separate floor meetings; Community standards content should be covered in the second meeting)
