The following companies I studied more in depth from <em>Fortune 100 Best Companies to work for 2020<\/em> to understand how they practice HR and I would like to share them.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>#9 American Express<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This financial services and insurance company has a high percentage of employees that claim it is a great place to work compared to a typical U.S. based company. It is said that management is honest, lets employees take time off from work when necessary, and is ethical in its business practices.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>#12 The Cheesecake Factory Incorporated<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The large hospitality company is known to take care of its people with a welcoming environment. The employees here say that they feel that they are treated well and can also take time off when necessary.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>#20 CarMax<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A large retail company of automobiles is said to be a great place to work compared to a typical U.S. based company. This company excels in making employees feel welcomed and treated as a member. It is also said by employees that management is honest and ethical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>After observing what employees say about companies, it gives me a better understanding of what employees look for in a company and what they value most. I noticed that \u201cpeople\u201d was one of the largest attributes that employees mentioned about the companies they worked for. When thinking about what I\u2019d like to be like as a manager, considering employees and their needs is very important. Evidence- based human resource management is a useful resource for companies to reevaluate their company&#8217;s culture and connect it to employee retention rates.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Sources:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Breitfelder, M.
