The companies I chose are Hilton, Stryker and American Express.
Employees at Hilton describe the company as a team, family, personal, friendly and positive.
Employees at Stryker describe the company as a culture, opportunity, 401k, benefits, strong, and time balance.
Employees at American Express describe the company as a balance, benefits, colleagues, time, leadership and culture.
All these companies employees share one description in common and thats the ability to feel included within the company. They say it in different ways but it’s being able to come together and work as a team. So as a manager of Human Resources I would say creating inclusivity within the work place is highly important to making employees happy.
Another characteristic that Stryker and American Express share is benefits. This is something very important to the employees. This can come in multiple forms such as 401k or health insurance. So as a manger of Human Resources being able to offer plans that the employees like and appreciate to make them feel taken care of is another important aspect of creating a healthy work place.
Some more characteristics that Stryker and American Express have in common is balance. This can mean a couple different things such as work life balance or work load balance. This is very important because most people don’t want to devote their entire life to work, they need the time to feel free to do what they wish. Also when they are at work not feeling swamped or overwhelmed by the type of work they are doing is important as well. So realizing that as a manager in Human Resources and trying to obtain a reasonable work load for the employees would be incredibly important.
