Specifically, the new entries would be inserted with some incorrect and missing information. It definitely took longer than I wish it did, but overall I was glad to have found the issue. It turned out that I left some obsolete code in the back-end that needed to be modified. It is easy to neglect to modify code in a different file when you have been focusing on coding one file for a good amount of time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As an aside, the other day my Linux laptop&#8217;s operating system died after trying to update it and I was worried I would lose the code I had been working on for the project. I tried to fix the operating system but I guess I am still not experienced enough to fix the issue. However, luckily I was able to retrieve my data from the laptop using the operating system&#8217;s recovery mode. The project was saved! Ultimately, I learned two great lessons regarding Linux as a result: always backup your data before doing big OS updates and recovery mode is your savior.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I was able to debug and fix my problems with inserting new entries into my project&#8217;s database.
