I have been a computer science and mathematics teacher for many years and have taught at various Houston-area middle schools and high schools.

I grew up near Pittsburgh, PA, earned a B.A. in History and teaching certification in secondary mathematics from Rice University in 1996, and a Master of Arts in Mathematics at the University of Houston in 2014. I am currently in the last quarter of a post-baccalaureate degree in CS at Oregon State University, and am working as a software engineering intern at Code.org.
