All applied research projects in seed cropping systems underline to incorporate diverse modes of action and the use of selective chemistries to prevent\/slow the insecticide resistance development and reduce non-target effects of pesticides in the seed cropping systems.<\/p>\r\n<h1><strong>Grass Seed Ins<\/strong><strong>ect Pest Management<\/strong><\/h1>\r\n<p>The field crop entomology program at OSU is a part of a research group funded by a specialty crop block grant to identify <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pnwag.net\/2021\/03\/03\/osu-conducting-chlorpyrifos-alternatives-survey\/\"><em><strong>Alternatives to chlorpyrifos<\/strong><\/em><\/a>.\u00a0 Our program conducts field efficacy trials and explores alternative non-chemical strategies for sustainable pest management.
