So, a bit of a humble brag or a weird flex if you will, but I have a pretty awesome job. I am currently working as a front-end developer for a start-up company and am absolutely loving it. I have the freedom to choose my own schedule, with the only constraints being that I accomplish my given tasks on time and show up to meetings as needed. I feel incredibly fortunate and grateful.
At the start of 2020, I already felt lucky enough to have been working from home and attending school from home. At the time, I was just starting my OSU adventures and had very fortunately started my job as a sort-of software support/IT person. My workload had me delving between helping customers and debugging, and my official title was generously named “Software Support Engineer”. Most of the time, I was answering customer questions and responding to calls. While it was not the most glamorous start, my company graciously set me on the path to becoming a programmer while earning my degree. As a result, I am now already producing software for them and am a mere 1 quarter away from graduating with my second degree. YAY!
