Hey all!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"My name is Chloe\u00a0Hull,\u00a0and I am going into my fourth year as an undergraduate\u00a0student at Oregon State University.\u00a0I hail from Portland,\u00a0Oregon,\u00a0but\u00a0I\u2019m\u00a0currently living in Corvallis doing a remote internship with\u00a0OSU Extension in\u00a0Tillamook County.\u00a0I am majoring in\u00a0natural\u00a0resources with a specialization in\u00a0ecological\u00a0restoration and a minor in\u00a0women,\u00a0gender, and\u00a0sexuality\u00a0studies.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u00a0\u2018ve been\u00a0accepted into\u00a0OSU\u2019s accelerated\u00a0master\u2019s\u00a0program\u00a0in natural\u00a0resources\u00a0and I\u2019m excited to\u00a0continue my education after I earn my\u00a0bachelor\u2019s\u00a0degree.\u00a0Beyond that, I enjoy spending time outside, baking, and cross-stitching\u00a0to name a few of my hobbies.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Throughout my internship, I will be\u00a0working closely with Julia Wentzel, the Master Gardener and\u00a0small\u00a0farms\u00a0coordinator for both Clatsop and Tillamook counties,\u00a0to develop a\u00a0local food producer listserv\/newsletter\u00a0to assist in increasing communications with and between\u00a0north\u00a0coast food producers. Another project that I\u2019m excited to be working on is\u00a0an\u00a0easily accessible\u00a0and highly polished\u00a0water resource guide for landowners\u00a0who\u00a0want to learn more about how to best manage and\/or restore the water resources on their land (creeks, ponds, wells, etc.).\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019m looking forward to the opportunities\u00a0when\u00a0I get to drive to Tillamook and get to do in-person\u00a0activities\u00a0such as farm\/dairy visits,\u00a0STEM camp, county fair, and just generally being able to spend time in the Extension office and get a feel for the atmosphere.\u00a0I think that having the opportunity to go up to Tillamook will give me a\u00a0better understanding of the county that doesn\u2019t come with being a tourist, and a better\u00a0feel for the work that the Tillamook Extension agents are doing.\u00a0\u00a0I\u2019m\u00a0grateful to my supervisor\u00a0and the rest of the\u00a0Tillamook\u00a0Extension agents for making this internship enjoyable so far and working through the difficulties that come with\u00a0a remote internship.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
