I am a sea-going physical oceanographer interested in cross-disciplinary research. My research focuses on small-scale processes, such as turbulent mixing, internal gravity waves, and air-sea-ice interaction. I work with data and process-oriented modeling to explore how the ocean’s circulation transports heat, freshwater, and nutrients. My research aims to identify how small-scale dynamics and mixing feedback on the larger scale flow and local environment. I have several areas of ongoing research that span from air-sea interaction in the tropics to circulation in high-latitude fjords.
