Where in the world has ESGP taken you? How are you changing it for the better?

development and strengthening of our relationships with one another.

This portion of the blog will be dedicated to staying in touch with you after you have completed your time with us in ESGP. Find short pieces on recent successes both professional and personal. Providing a space to shine a light on the successes of our alumni also provides a light of hope to those working diligently toward completion.

Steve Kent

Steve grew up in Oregon and is a third generation OSU Beaver.  After receiving a BS in Aerospace Engineering at OSU, and spending a career working space and defense programs in Southern California, Steve is now pursuing interests that are more down-to-Earth.  His most recent milestone is the completion of an MS (Non-Thesis) degree in Environmental Sciences (Ecology/Education track).  The MS project used EPA’s Visualizing Ecosystems for Land Management Assessments (VELMA) to simulate Marys River watershed ecohydrological and biogeochemical responses to climate change and altered land use scenarios.  A closely related, follow-on objective is to restore an 8-hectare Marys River woodland site near the OSU campus as a venue for K-12 outdoor science classes, free-choice learning and other ecosystem service uses.
