Federal Funding Available for Organic Research<\/h1>\n

With the farm bill expired, and organic research funding lacking in 2013, the USDA’sAgriculture, Food, and Research Initiative (AFRI)<\/a>\u00a0presents an opportunity for grant funding for researchers for organic projects.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Agriculture, Food, and Research Initiative (AFRI)<\/a>\u00a0is funding up to $136 million in grants for individuals and universities in research areas that support organic farming, including Agriculture Systems and Technology, Agriculture Economics, and Rural Communities.<\/p>\n

A Letter of Intent is due November 26, 2012. The proposal deadline is May 22, 2013.\u00a0See the RFA<\/a>\u00a0for details.<\/p>\n
