The\u202fOffice of Undergraduate Research, Scholarship, & the Arts<\/a>\u202f(Office of URSA) is excited to announce\u202fthis year\u2019s call for\u202ffaculty\u202fsummary submissions\u202ffor the 2023-2024 URSA Engage Program<\/strong>, which is designed to provide first- and second-year students, and transfer students in their first year at OSU, opportunities to pursue research or a creative\u202factivity under the guidance of an OSU\u202ffaculty\u202fmentor.\u202f\u00a0\u202f\u00a0The \u202fmentor\u202f summary submission form can be found at this \u202f<\/strong>link.<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0\u202f\u202f\u00a0Below are the steps involved for the URSA Engage Program. More detailed information about eligibility and deadlines can be found on\u202four website<\/a>.\u00a0\u202f\u00a0Faculty\u202fsubmit the\u202fmentor\u202fsummary form\u202fby\u202fSunday,<\/strong>\u00a0October 15, 2023, at 11:59pm.<\/strong>\u00a0The opportunities submitted by\u202ffaculty\u202fwill be posted on our website for students to view on\u202fOctober 16th.<\/strong>Students will read through\u202fmentor\u202fsummaries and fill out a form that will be emailed to faculty mentors they are interested in working with.\u00a0\u00a0Faculty\u202fand students will then discuss shared interests and whether they want to work together on a project. We encourage faculty to host networking hours to chat with students prior to allowing them to apply.\u00a0\u00a0Faculty\u202fwill ultimately decide which student(s) they will allow to move forward with an application to the URSA Engage Program.\u00a0Students who have secured a\u202fmentor\u202fwill then apply to the\u00a0URSA Engage Program<\/a>. The Office of URSA will evaluate student applications.\u00a0\u202f\u00a0We appreciate your partnership and willingness to\u202fmentor\u202fstudents early in their careers at OSU!\u202f\u00a0\u00a0
