Dear OSU Colleagues,

We are very pleased to announce that OSU\u2019s Search Committee Training\u00a0is now available online<\/a>. Developed in collaboration with the Office of Equal Opportunity and Access and the Office of Institutional Diversity, this 25-minute online training focuses on how to conduct a successful search. Highlights of the content include:\u00a0
–OSU\u2019s hiring philosophy.
–Key steps at each stage of a search.
–Roles and responsibilities of search committee members.
–Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action in the hiring process.
–Bias mitigation.\u00a0
–Important resources such as the\u00a0New Employee Onboarding website<\/a>.\u00a0

New material in this online training complements OSU\u2019s existing\u00a0Search Advocate training<\/a>\u00a0and is recommended to be completed by all supervisors, search committee chairs and search committee members. HR\u2019s\u00a0Recruitment team<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0HR Strategic Partners<\/a>\u00a0are available to answer questions about the material or facilitate search committee discussions about how best to implement best practices. At OSU-Cascades, please contact\u00a0\u2060Kelsey Morris<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0\u2060Anthony Parker-Hoang<\/a>\u00a0for their expertise.\u00a0

The online training can be accessed directly at\u00a0https:\/\/beav.es\/5r5<\/a>. You will be asked for your ONID credentials if you are not already logged in, then taken to Bridge, the OSU Learning Management System. Alternately, visit\u00a0https:\/\/training.oregonstate.edu<\/a>\u00a0and log in as an OSU employee and look for HR Search Committee Training under the Business Services category. An e-certificate will be generated by Bridge when you have completed the online course.\u00a0\u00a0
