{"id":677,"date":"2012-07-20T14:38:50","date_gmt":"2012-07-20T22:38:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/erlenmeyer\/?p=677"},"modified":"2012-07-20T14:39:36","modified_gmt":"2012-07-20T22:39:36","slug":"welcome-dave-blake-to-human-resources","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/erlenmeyer\/2012\/07\/20\/welcome-dave-blake-to-human-resources\/","title":{"rendered":"Welcome Dave Blake to Human Resources"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>To the OSU Community:<\/p>\n<p>I am pleased to inform you that I have appointed Dr. David Blake to head up our Human Resources department, effective August 27, 2012.\u00a0 Thank you to everyone who participated in the search.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Blake is a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and has been the chief human resources officer for the University of San Diego for the past two years.\u00a0 He has over 30 years\u2019 experience in the human resources field, holding positions in the private, public and governmental sectors.\u00a0 He has lead human resource functions in both higher education and the medical device industry.\u00a0 Additionally, he serves as an adjunct faculty member for several universities where he teaches advanced level courses related to human capital management as well as leadership.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Blake holds a Bachelors degree in Vocation Education from Southern Illinois University, a Masters degree in Management from University of Redlands and a Doctorate in Organization in Management \u2013 HR Emphasis from Capella University.\u00a0 He is active in a number of professional and civic organizations.<\/p>\n<p>We are excited about the broad experience and leadership Dr. Blake will bring to Oregon State University.\u00a0 Please join me in congratulating him on his new role.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Mark McCambridge<\/p>\n<p>Vice President for Finance &amp; Administration<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To the OSU Community: I am pleased to inform you that I have appointed Dr. David Blake to head up our Human Resources department, effective August 27, 2012.\u00a0 Thank you to everyone who participated in the search.
