There has been an\u00a0unusually\u00a0high number of bikes being stolen off of the bike racks right outside WNGR in the last couple of weeks. \u00a0Last week alone, off one rack on the\u00a0Gilbert\u00a0side of WNGR,\u00a03 bikes worth well over $1000 each were stolen. \u00a0Can you please share with the\u00a0department\u00a0and the other\u00a0departments\u00a0that may be in the building to be on the lookout for fishy behavior around the bike racks. \u00a0I understand that many employees and professors ride\u00a0their\u00a0bikes to work. \u00a0I feel they should be informed of\u00a0the\u00a0heightened\u00a0threat of theft around WNGR. \u00a0Also if people are aware they may notice unusual behavior that would normally be overlooked, like someone who\u00a0revisits\u00a0a\u00a0bike\u00a0rack often but doesn’t lock up\u00a0their\u00a0bike or even have a bike. \u00a0Or someone who just looks\u00a0out of\u00a0place, or takes too long to “unlock” their bike, and etc. \u00a0I would appreciate it if you could get the word out for me. \u00a0My bike was one of the ones that was stolen last week, and I don’t wish for anyone else to go through an experience like that.<\/p>\n
