| Responsibilities:<\/td>\n | \u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Execute multi-step synthesis under the supervision of senior leaders, frequently requiring the use of air-free techniques.<\/p>\n \u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Organic compound purification via column chromatography, distillation, etc.<\/p>\n \u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Characterization of intermediates and final compounds by NMR, mass spectrometry, and other techniques as required.<\/p>\n \u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Preparation and presentation of weekly reports summarizing progress and future work.<\/p>\n \u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Basic lab maintenance and upkeep.<\/p>\n <\/td>\n<\/tr>\n |

(B.Sc.) in chemistry.<\/p>\n \u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 LOVES organic chemistry.<\/p>\n \u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Strong desire to work in an innovative research setting.<\/p>\n \u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Must be able to lift 50 lbs.<\/p>\n \u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Must be comfortable working with up to 3L of organic solvent<\/p>\n \u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Must be able to stand for long periods of time.<\/p>\n \u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Must be able to follow directions closely.<\/p>\n \u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Must be able to work safely.<\/p>\n \u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Must be hands on.<\/p>\n \u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Excellent interpersonal skills.<\/p>\n <\/td>\n<\/tr>\n |
