The University of Nevada, Reno Department of\u00a0Chemistry has initiated a search for a new\u00a0Assistant\u00a0Professor\u00a0in Polymer Chemistry.<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0I am writing to seek your\u00a0help in identifying\u00a0outstanding candidates for this position.\u00a0The\u00a0successful candidate will establish an innovative,\u00a0externally funded\u00a0research program\u00a0in Polymer\u00a0Chemistry, broadly defined,\u00a0while\u00a0maintaining a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate education. This position is part of\u00a0a multi-year commitment to\u00a0establish UNR as an international leader in Advanced\u00a0Manufacturing Research.

The city lies one hour from Lake Tahoe\u00a0and four\u00a0hours east of San Francisco, in the valley of the Truckee River on the\u00a0eastern slope of the Sierra Nevada, and has a mild high desert climate. A\u00a0highly rated\u00a0location for living and outdoor recreation, the Reno area also\u00a0enjoys a flourishing and eclectic intellectual, artistic, and cultural\u00a0community.
