This covers new Phase I proposals as well as a Phase II renewal.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nsf.gov\/publications\/pub_summ.jsp?ods_key=nsf18555\">https:\/\/www.nsf.gov\/publications\/pub_summ.jsp?ods_key=nsf18555<\/a><\/p>\n<p>There are two significant changes in this call (both impact Phase I)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The deadline for CCI Phase I prelims has been moved earlier \u2013 it is now in mid-August<\/li>\n<li>The competition is open to all areas supported by CHE, with particular encouragement for ideas that align with NSF&#8217;s\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nsf.gov\/news\/special_reports\/big_ideas\/index.jsp\">10 Big Ideas<\/a><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Meanwhile, the FY 2018 Phase I competition continues\u2026we have some interesting projects that are under review. Those new awards will be public in late August\/early September. We always hope they are public by the ACS Meeting.<\/p>\n<p>Please share this news with your networks (and alert them to the new prelim proposal deadline!).
