{"id":3429,"date":"2016-02-17T10:40:36","date_gmt":"2016-02-17T17:40:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/erlenmeyer\/?p=3429"},"modified":"2016-02-17T10:40:36","modified_gmt":"2016-02-17T17:40:36","slug":"host-a-2016-promise-summer-intern","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/erlenmeyer\/2016\/02\/17\/host-a-2016-promise-summer-intern\/","title":{"rendered":"Host a 2016 PROMISE Summer Intern"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The PROMISE program invites you to apply to host a 2016 summer intern.\u00a0 The program runs from Monday, June 27 to Friday, September 2, 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Click here for information about hosting an intern and to apply.\u00a0 For general information about the PROMISE program, visit: dce.oregonstate.edu\/promise\/.\u00a0 The deadline to apply is March 7.<\/p>\n<p>Founded and offered annually since 1992, the PROMISE program is a ten-week paid internship which provides opportunities in state, local government agencies, and university programs for Oregon State University undergraduate students, with particular emphasis on providing pathways for historically underrepresented students to professional careers.\u00a0 Historically underrepresented students may include, but is not limited to: first generation college student, low-income, LGBTQ+, students of color, veterans, transfer students, students with disabilities, etc\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Internships are available to all OSU undergraduate students who are or will be enrolled for spring term, who have completed at least 90 undergraduate credits, and who have a current cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher. Preference will be given to first time applicants.
