Before attending Oregon State University, I worked on multiple research projects for different agencies in Montana and Oregon, typically with birds. Most recently, I worked for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service on the Oregon Coast conducting bird surveys to measure the effects of a tidal marsh restoration.<\/p>\n<p>As a Masters student in the Epps Lab, I am working with Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife to establish a method for estimating Roosevelt elk abundance using fecal DNA in a spatial capture-recapture framework.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I obtained my undergraduate degrees in wildlife biology and mathematics from the University of Montana in 2015.
