prepare corrective action plans and track closure.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Safety Management and Culture\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Establish and\u00a0maintain\u00a0a site-wide safety management system; set annual EHS goals and metrics (leading and lagging indicators).\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lead risk assessments (Job Hazard Analyses, Change Management \/ Management of Change) for new processes, equipment, and product formulations.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Oversee incident investigations (near-misses, injuries, property damage) with root-cause analysis and corrective\u00a0actions;\u00a0track trends and drive prevention.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Conduct safety\u00a0trainings\u00a0(new hire orientation, task-specific training, LOTO, confined spaces, machine guarding, ergonomics, forklift, PPE, etc.) and toolbox talks;\u00a0maintain\u00a0training records.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Mass Timber and CLT-Specific Governance\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Coordinate safety and environmental considerations during timber processing, adhesive usage, finishing, coating, and handling of wood dust, finishes\u00a0where applicable.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Collaborate with engineering and production\u00a0to\u00a0develop,\u00a0monitor\u00a0and control the\u00a0procedures for\u00a0fall protection,\u00a0equipment guarding, dust control, ventilation, and housekeeping to minimize fire risk and exposure.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Emergency Preparedness and Business Continuity\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Develop and\u00a0maintain\u00a0emergency response plans, fire protection strategies, spill response, and business continuity\u00a0plans;\u00a0conduct drills and coordinate with local authorities.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Maintain EHS records, SDS library, incident databases, and regulatory calendars; ensure data integrity and accessibility for audits.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Training, Communication, and Stakeholder Engagement\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Build a sustainable safety culture through leadership presence on the floor, mentorship of supervisors, and transparent communication of EHS performance.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Partner with HR and production for workers\u2019 compensation administration support, return-to-work programs, and ergonomics initiatives.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Interface with suppliers, contractors, and customers on EHS expectations, permits, inspections, and compliance documentation.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Continuous Improvement and Metrics\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Identify\u00a0opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions related to EHS programs, and alignment with corporate sustainability goals (e.g.,\u00a0emissions\u00a0reductions, waste diversion).\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Prepare and present regular EHS performance reports to leadership, including risk registers, corrective action statuses, and audit results.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Team Leadership and Collaboration\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lead the\u00a0site\u00a0EHS team (coordinators, specialists, or contractors) and EHS committees; Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Experience: 5+ years of progressive EHS leadership experience, preferably in manufacturing or wood products, mass timber, or lumber operations; experience with wood dust, adhesives, coatings, or related chemical processes is a plus.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Certifications: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Board Certified Safety Engineer (BCSE), or CIH preferred;\u00a0additional\u00a0certifications (OSHA 30\/10, LEAN\/6S, ISO 45001) beneficial.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Knowledge: Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations;
