Bend Research (now part Lonza<\/a>) is hiring a summer intern for the Environmental Health and Safety Program. This is a paid position.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Start and end dates can be flexible. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in the EHS field dealing with many topics- from general safety, to industrial hygiene, to assisting their on-site environmental engineer.\u00a0 Their requirements are listed below.<\/p>\n

EHS Intern<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Education<\/strong><\/td>\n\n
    \n
  • B.S. in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or Environmental Engineering.\u00a0 Intern must be pursuing an EHS degree or similar degree.\u00a0 Candidate working on Masters also acceptable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Work Experience<\/strong><\/td>\n\n
    \n
  • At least one year working in or studying Environmental Health and Safety.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Job Tasks<\/strong><\/td>\n\n
    \n
  • Conducts fit testing for respirators<\/li>\n
  • Conducts field sampling for air and noise<\/li>\n
  • Collects environmental samples<\/li>\n
  • Inspects hazardous waste storage areas<\/li>\n
  • Conducts site EHS audits<\/li>\n
  • Maintains sampling equipment<\/li>\n
  • Maintains emergency response equipment<\/li>\n
  • Assists with EHS tasks as directed<\/li>\n
  • Performs as a member of the site EHS team<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
