Since 1998, the Environmental Joint Campus Conference (JCC) has been an annual event that helps bring together graduate students and faculty from three programs: the Environmental Sciences Graduate Program at Oregon State University, the Environmental Sciences and Management Program at Portland State University, and the Environmental Studies Program at the University of Oregon.

Since 2023, OSU ESGP has proudly partnered with OSU Environmental Arts and Humanities for their regional graduate student conference in the Environmental Arts and Humanities. EAH “conference alumni” now number over a hundred grad students from many disciplines, mostly from OSU, UO, PSU, PNCA/Willamette, and other universities in the region. Our interdisciplinary approach focuses on humanities and arts methods.

Our conference concludes with a keynote presentation from new and leading voices in the environmental arts and humanities. This year, we fold the two conferences into one experience on OSU’s main campus in Corvallis, OR. By blending the two, we offer a unique opportunity to expand into new realms of environmental study.

The conference creates an opportunity for graduate students and faculty from each of the three programs to present their diverse research interests to a larger community of environmental scholars. Presentations and posters given at the JCC generate discussions that span the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences.
