{"id":9974,"date":"2017-05-23T15:35:58","date_gmt":"2017-05-23T22:35:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/ecologue\/?p=9974"},"modified":"2017-09-13T14:27:06","modified_gmt":"2017-09-13T21:27:06","slug":"green-office-certification","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/ecologue\/2017\/05\/23\/green-office-certification\/","title":{"rendered":"Green Office Certification"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/fa.oregonstate.edu\/sites\/fa.oregonstate.edu\/files\/sustainability\/images\/green-office-banner.jpg\" alt=\"Green Office Certification\" width=\"425\" height=\"77\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/fa.oregonstate.edu\/sustainability\/planning-policy-assessment\/green-office-certification\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Green Office Certification<\/a>\u00a0is a simple yet effective way for OSU faculty and staff to further their sustainability efforts and get recognition for their work. It&#8217;s also intended to provide ideas for steps your office can take to reduce your environmental footprint and carbon emissions. The Green Office Certification was created through a partnership between the Sustainability Office, Campus Recycling, and Transportation Services.<\/p>\n<p>An online Qualtrics survey\u00a0is used to assess an office&#8217;s practices in areas such as water, waste management, purchasing, transportation, and outreach. Upon completion, the survey will be scored. Bronze, silver, gold, and platinum are the four certification levels based on the score.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, there are three certified offices on campus. The <a href=\"http:\/\/liberalarts.oregonstate.edu\/school-psychological-science\/psychology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">School of Psychological Science<\/a>\u00a0was awarded the Silver Green Office Certification on December 13, 2016.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/fa.oregonstate.edu\/sites\/fa.oregonstate.edu\/files\/sustainability\/images\/silver.png\" alt=\"Silver\" width=\"169\" height=\"100\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/sli.oregonstate.edu\/ssi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Student Sustainability Initiative<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/sli.oregonstate.edu\/cce\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Center for Civic Engagement <\/a>were awarded the Bronze Green Office Certification on April 13, 2017.\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/fa.oregonstate.edu\/sites\/fa.oregonstate.edu\/files\/sustainability\/images\/bronze.png\" alt=\"Bronze\" width=\"169\" height=\"101\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We would love to help you get your office certified!
