Apply for Alternative Break today!<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Alternative Break program is centered on creating transformative, experiential learning experiences for students through regional, reciprocal campus-community partnerships. Alternative breaks aim to develop the capacity for students to lead for <strong>social change<\/strong>. Being immersed in community environments enables participants to experience, discuss, and understand social issues in a significant way. This is an opportunity to learn about yourself, challenge yourself, build community, gain leadership skills, and have fun!<\/p>\n<p>Priority deadline for applications for all three trips is <strong>Thursday, December 1, 2016<\/strong> and need-based <strong>Travel Grants are now available to defray the costs! <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>(Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until all trips are filled)<\/p>\n<p>Read what past Alternative Break participants have said about their experiences:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<ul>\n<li><em>\u201cI am amazed, intrigued, and humbled.
