The dialog gives students a voice in critical decisions that will determine their future, and the future of the earth. <a href=\"http:\/\/sli.oregonstate.edu\/feature-story\/clean-power-plan-forum\">Register HERE! Transportation is provided!<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/ecologue\/files\/2016\/03\/cce.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-8935\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/ecologue\/files\/2016\/03\/cce-300x141.jpg\" alt=\"cce\" width=\"430\" height=\"203\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This event is part of a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bard.edu\/cep\/powerdialog\/\">national civic engagement initiative<\/a>\u00a0in\u00a0over 30 states during the week of April 4th. Students studying law, policy, environmental science, and other related topics will engage with experts and stakeholders in to discuss:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>How can Oregon reduce its greenhouse gas emissions from energy production and use?<\/li>\n<li>How does the Clean Power Plan (CPP) tie into the recent Paris agreement?<\/li>\n<li>How can we create effective policy with equitable outcomes for all Oregonians?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Tentative Agenda<\/strong><br \/>\nnoon &#8211; 1:00 pm: Primer presentations on legal, environmental, regulatory, and social issues of CPP and related state, federal, and international policy<br \/>\n1:15 &#8211; 2:00 pm: Breakout discussions focusing on legal, environmental, and equity dimensions of CPP and related policy<br \/>\n2:15 &#8211; 3:00 pm: Breakout discussions (same as above).<br \/>\n3:00 &#8211; 3:30 pm: Wrap-up<\/p>\n<p><strong>This is a pivotal time in history, when decisive environmental action can change the world.
