Through our <em><span style=\"color: #339966\">Alumni<\/span> <span style=\"color: #339966\">Profiles Project<\/span><\/em>, you&#8217;ll see what a difference our incredible alumni make in solving global challenges!<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Our first profile is <strong>Colette Conover<\/strong>, a 2014\u00a0Environmental Science and Leadership graduate, who previously worked for the <a href=\"http:\/\/sli.oregonstate.edu\/ssi\">Student Sustainability Initiative<\/a> as the Energy Projects Coordinator.<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/ecologue\/files\/2016\/01\/colette.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-8824 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/ecologue\/files\/2016\/01\/colette-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"colette\" width=\"356\" height=\"356\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>During her time at OSU:<\/strong>\u00a0Colette started as Energy Projects Intern at the SSI and was later\u00a0promoted to Coordinator.\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000000\">In her position, she helped spread awareness to the student body about conserving energy, living sustainably, and taking climate action<\/span>. She was also an active member in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/StudentsEngagingTomorrow\/\">OSU Divest\/Students Engaging Tomorrow<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/sustainablecorvallis.org\/action-teams\/energy\/\">Corvallis Sustainability Coalition&#8217;s Energy Action Team<\/a>.\u00a0Her\u00a0favorite project was the Energy Civil War because she loves the idea of a fun, healthy competition and felt it\u00a0was a perfect way to spread awareness of great renewable technology at Dixon Recreation Center.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Since OSU:<\/strong>\u00a0Colette has\u00a0moved to St. Louis, MO and pursued a career in <span style=\"color: #008000\"><strong>solar energy<\/strong><\/span>. \u00a0She wants to help proliferate the industry in the Midwest and by working for <a href=\"http:\/\/efsenergy.com\/\">EFS Energy<\/a>, the local solar and energy efficiency experts, she&#8217;s\u00a0been able to do just that. She\u00a0enjoys St. Louis and the culture of music, food, and fun. Along with that, she has\u00a0continued playing ultimate frisbee in her\u00a0spare time and looks forward to seeing where life may take her\u00a0next.<\/p>\n<p>Colette feels that working for a solar energy company has definitely allowed her\u00a0to maintain a sustainable lifestyle, however<span style=\"color: #008000\"><strong> she is also\u00a0active in the climate action movement in her community<\/strong><\/span> and continues to attend meetings, rallies, and gatherings to expand renewable energy further and generate more excitement for the movement. She would also like to note that she\u00a0has convinced her\u00a0parents to install solar energy on their business in Southern California and will continue to push her\u00a0friends and colleagues to make important decisions like this one.<\/p>\n<p><strong>We&#8217;re so proud of Colette and know she&#8217;s destined for great things.
