Time for another Staff Spotlight! This week features Steve Schofield.<\/p>\n

Who<\/strong>: Steve Schofield, Surplus\/Warehouse Coordinator for Surplus\u00a0for the last 4\u00a0and a half years.<\/p>\n

What he\u00a0does here<\/strong>:\"steve-spotlight\"<\/a> I coordinate the influx of surplus on campus and maintain the warehouse space.<\/p>\n

One fave thing about his\u00a0job<\/strong>:
\nThe variety in the work I do as well as knowing I’m giving things another life by keeping them out of the landfill.<\/p>\n

If he could improve something about waste reduction at OSU<\/strong>:
\nI’d want to reduce the “use it or lose it” mentality of the departments on campus when it comes to their budget. I also hope to see an increase in re-configurable\/modular furniture that lasts a long time so that departments don’t need to buy new as often.<\/p>\n
