She will be speaking at \u00a0OSU on Monday, February 2nd, at 7 pm at the <a href=\"http:\/\/oregonstate.edu\/lasells\/\">LaSells Stewart Center<\/a>. Kolbert has received multiple awards for her writings including the American Association for the Advancement of Science\u2019s magazine writing award, the National Academies communications award, National Magazine Award, Heinz Award and Guggenheim Fellowship.<\/p>\n<p>In anticipation of Kolbert&#8217;s upcoming reading, <a href=\"http:\/\/liberalarts.oregonstate.edu\/centers-and-initiatives\/spring-creek-project\">The Spring Creek Project<\/a> is giving away three copies of her new book <em>The Sixth Extinction<\/em>.
