Do so by coming to the <strong>Recycling Warehouse at <a title=\"View location on Google Maps\" href=\"http:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/xWoan\" target=\"_blank\">644 SW 13th Street<\/a> on Thursday, January 23rd between 5:30 and 7:30 pm<\/strong> for our January Repair Fair.<\/p>\n<p>Bring your broken items and questions and volunteers will help you  learn  how to repair your things, and drop-in DIY (do it yourself) demos  to learn repair skills (see list below for what\u2019s on offer this time)!<\/p>\n<p>Save money, save natural resources. Click to view larger.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong><em>5:45 to 6:15 pm: <\/em>Those Darned Socks: Fixing Holes<\/strong> &#8211; Many times, socks, jackets, and sweaters are working great, until you  wear through the toe, elbow, or snag them on something. Darning is a  method of fixing holes using only thread, rather than sewing a patch on.  Drop by the Clothing repair station to see how it\u2019s done. (Leader:  Amanda Abbott, volunteer with the<a href=\"http:\/\/recycle.oregonstate.edu\/volunteer\"> Waste Watchers<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>6:15 to 6:45 pm:<\/em> Unbound: Basic Book Repair<\/strong> &#8211; While the knowledge we can learn from a book may last a lifetime, the  book itself certainly does not. With continual use books are  susceptible to damage, wear and loose pages. Leave with your very own reusable shopping bag along with the  know-how to make more at home.
