{"id":3227,"date":"2013-05-14T13:53:31","date_gmt":"2013-05-14T20:53:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/oregonstate.edu\/sustainability\/blog\/?p=3227"},"modified":"2013-05-14T13:53:31","modified_gmt":"2013-05-14T20:53:31","slug":"campus-recycling-now-hiring-a-student-design-assistant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/ecologue\/2013\/05\/14\/campus-recycling-now-hiring-a-student-design-assistant\/","title":{"rendered":"Campus Recycling now hiring a Student Design Assistant!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\"><a title=\"Download a PDF of the position description\" href=\"http:\/\/tiny.cc\/cr-designer\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3666\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/businessservices\/files\/2013\/05\/hiring-student-design-blog.jpg\" alt=\"Download the position description\" width=\"420\" height=\"123\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p id=\"docs-internal-guid--4765b67-a491-6859-f14b-de8703ccd40b\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"http:\/\/recycle.oregonstate.edu\">Campus Recycling<\/a> is now hiring for a <a title=\"Download a PDF of the position description\" href=\"http:\/\/tiny.cc\/cr-designer\" target=\"_blank\">Student Design Assistant<\/a> to join our outreach team, to design and implement print and digital media.<\/p>\n<h3>Job Description<\/h3>\n<p>Job duties include:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Graphic design<\/strong> (constitutes 60% or more of work hours):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Designing, ordering and distributing print and digital media such as posters, fliers, recycle bin signs, newspaper ads, and graphics for digital use (website, blog, social media, TV slides, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Using OSU brand identity guidelines and\/or templates to create media<\/li>\n<li>Taking photos and\/or recording video for marketing pieces or to capture events and activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Other marketing:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assisting in the development of marketing plans<\/li>\n<li>Occasionally creating written content (blog posts, website information, event descriptions, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Occasionally staffing booths at events, providing event support, contributing to event planning, participating in volunteer meetings or assisting with other waste reduction outreach as needed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The successful applicant will start work by the start of fall term 2013 (Sept. 30), or can start in summer if available (any time on or after June 18).<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The position is for 10-16 hours\/week, at a starting wage of $9.50\/hour. <strong>Applications are due Tuesday, May 28<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">For a list of qualifications and application instructions, please <strong><a title=\"Download a PDF of the position description\" href=\"http:\/\/tiny.cc\/cr-designer\" target=\"_blank\">download the full hiring announcement here (PDF)<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Campus Recycling is now hiring for a Student Design Assistant to join our outreach team, to design and implement print and digital media.
