\"2012This weekend, October 20th and 21st<\/strong>, OSU will compete in the EPA Game Day Challenge<\/a>, a nationwide competition between universities to reduce waste at football games<\/strong>. The challenge is to educate football fans about waste reduction, and weigh all the trash and recycling from one game. The EPA takes the data and calculates stats such as our recycling rate and the pounds of greenhouse gases prevented from our actions, and schools are ranked.<\/p>\n

How You Can Help<\/strong><\/h3>\n

As a Game Attendee:<\/h4>\n
    \n
  1. Pack it in, pack it out.<\/strong> While tailgating, consider bringing trash home with you to help us reduce litter and waste.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Get it in the right bin. <\/strong>Trash carts and\/or dumpsters are located in every tailgating parking lot. Every stadium gate entrance has staffed recycle stations starting 2 hours before kickoff.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Look for the mobile recycling trailer.<\/strong> Place your recyclables in the red bins in the trailer or hand them to a volunteer.\u00a0 The trailer will circulate the tailgating areas around Reser Stadium starting 2 hours before kickoff.

  4. Leave recyclables at your stadium seat.<\/strong> Leave recyclables at your stadium seat where our cleaning crews can collect them, rather than throwing them in a garbage can.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
