The OSU Sustainability Office<\/a> would like to welcome two new interns!  This past spring we hired a new Graphic Design Intern and Student Engagement Intern.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meet Justine Chin \u2013 Our New Graphic Design Intern!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

Justine Chin is a third-year Graphic Design student at Oregon State University, joining our team to elevate the visual presence of the Sustainability Office. In this role, she\u2019ll be designing marketing materials and refreshing our resources to be more visually appealing and accessible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Justine is originally from Sacramento, California.  Her love for the PNW\u2019s beautiful nature and rainy weather drew her to OSU.  Aside from being outdoors, she loves to dance! She\u2019s been dancing since she was young and is currently part of OSU\u2019s Dam Dance Empire dance club<\/a>.  She also enjoys photography and traveling! National parks are some of her favorite places to visit, Yosemite has been her favorite so far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Justine brings valuable experience from her previous graphic design roles with OSU Ecampus and University Housing & Dining Services.  In the future she would love to work with an environmental company to support various sustainability goals. She\u2019s also interested in freelance graphic design, aiming for a balanced lifestyle that allows her to travel and continue exploring!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meet Isabella Mitchell \u2013 Student Engagement Intern<\/strong>!<\/p>\n\n\n

Isabella Mitchell is a second year student studying Sustainability and Public Policy with a minor in Psychology. Passionate about the environment from a young age, Isabella has been involved in many sustainability efforts. During high school she competed in the FCCLA Sustainability Challenge<\/a>. Her project focused on the environmental impacts of consumerism, recycling, microplastics, and human behavior. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now at OSU, Isabella serves as the co-president of the Beaver Athlete Sustainability Team and recently named Sustainability Chair for the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. This past spring she interned with the Corvallis Sustainability Coalition focusing most of her efforts on marketing and engagement of community members. Eager to expand her impact, she was excited to apply for the Student Engagement position that will lead the Sustainability Council<\/a> in facilitating action on campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Originally from Seattle, Washington, the greenery on OSU\u2019s campus and its excellent environmental science program drew her to become a beaver!  Isabella enjoys sports and got recruited to row for OSU! When not training, she loves to pick up a book. Last year, she read 50 books, and this year, she’s aiming for 55!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After graduation, Isabella plans to attend graduate school to get a degree in Environmental Policy or Sustainable Systems.  Her ultimate goal is to work in the federal government, where she hopes to use her knowledge and passion to drive meaningful environmental change.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
