{"id":1208,"date":"2011-08-15T07:30:42","date_gmt":"2011-08-15T14:30:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/oregonstate.edu\/sustainability\/blog\/?p=1208"},"modified":"2011-08-15T07:30:42","modified_gmt":"2011-08-15T14:30:42","slug":"1208","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/ecologue\/2011\/08\/15\/1208\/","title":{"rendered":"Two Student Jobs Openings at the SSI"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_1209\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1209\" style=\"width: 396px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1209   \" title=\"2011 SSI Staff\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/ecologue\/files\/2011\/08\/DSCN0691_ed_sm.jpg\" alt=\"OSU Student Sustainability Initiative Staff in front of SSC, July 2011\" width=\"396\" height=\"204\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1209\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">OSU Student Sustainability Initiative Staff in front of SSC, July 2011<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<address><span style=\"font-style: normal\">The OSU Student Sustainability Initiative (SSI) is looking to hire two students employees for the 2011-2012 academic year. <strong>Applications for both positions are due Monday, August 22nd. <\/strong>The open positions are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/oregonstate.edu\/sustainability\/ssi\/jobs\/visibility\">Design and Visibility Coordinator<\/a> <\/strong> &#8211;\u00a0responsible for promoting the Student Sustainability Initiative (SSI) through digital and print visibility efforts such as\u00a0promotional materials, local media outlets\/resources, and organizational website(s) and social media.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/oregonstate.edu\/sustainability\/ssi\/jobs\/outreach\">Events and Outreach Coordinator<\/a> <\/strong>&#8211;\u00a0responsible for promoting the Student Sustainability Initiative (SSI) through outreach efforts such as events, tabling, and classroom presentations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Between them, the positions are responsible for managing and executing nearly every aspect of the SSI&#8217;s promotional activities.<\/p>\n<p>Both positions are slated for 10-15 hours per week, with a wage of $9.50 per hour, and an employment period stretching from Tuesday, September 13th, 2011 to Friday, June 15th, 2012. Applicants must maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA or higher, be enrolled in at least 6 credits at OSU during the employment period, and must not be on academic probation.<\/p>\n<p>If you are considering one of the positions, know anyone who might be, of think there is a group whose members might be particularly interested, we would love it if you could pass along the information below.
