{"id":11724,"date":"2021-07-02T11:16:49","date_gmt":"2021-07-02T18:16:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/ecologue\/?p=11724"},"modified":"2021-07-02T11:19:01","modified_gmt":"2021-07-02T18:19:01","slug":"the-2021-great-move-out-results","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/ecologue\/2021\/07\/02\/the-2021-great-move-out-results\/","title":{"rendered":"The 2021 Great Move-Out Results"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Official results are in:&nbsp;<strong>OSU residents donated 5,936 pounds<\/strong>&nbsp; \u2013&nbsp; almost 3 tons \u2013 during this year\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/fa.oregonstate.edu\/recycling\/events-and-opportunities\/great-move-out\/res-hall-move-out-donation-drive\">Great Move-Out Donation Drive<\/a>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite the fact that our typical Move-Out procedures were altered because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Campus Recycling and Surplus Property were still able to offer residents the opportunity to donate their belongings as an alternative to throwing them away.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There were fewer residents this year and many residents moved out earlier than expected. Due to COVID-19 safety precautions and the limited donations we received, we did not sort donations into our typical categories and instead worked with Teen Challenge, and the Linn Benton Food Share, who was able to accept non-sorted donations.
