Official results are in: OSU residents donated 5,936 pounds<\/strong>  \u2013  almost 3 tons \u2013 during this year\u2019s Great Move-Out Donation Drive<\/a>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the fact that our typical Move-Out procedures were altered because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Campus Recycling and Surplus Property were still able to offer residents the opportunity to donate their belongings as an alternative to throwing them away. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were fewer residents this year and many residents moved out earlier than expected. Due to COVID-19 safety precautions and the limited donations we received, we did not sort donations into our typical categories and instead worked with Teen Challenge, and the Linn Benton Food Share, who was able to accept non-sorted donations. A small portion of the donations was also kept to sell at the OSUsed Store in order to recoup the costs of the move-out program. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even though we did not collect as much as we have in previous years, we can all be proud of the almost 3 tons that were donated this year.\u00a0We are extremely grateful to everyone who donated, as well as the staff that helped make the Great Move-Out happen!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
