The first fully virtual Washington Oregon Higher Education Sustainability Conference (WOHESC<\/a>) was a huge success! Our student, sustainability leadership, faculty and operations attendees walked away with inspiration to drive forward sustainability, resiliency and social justice action in higher education for the future. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

OSU had the second highest attendance of any school, with 49 attendees. Lets hear what they had to say!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAttending WOHESC reminded me that students collectively have the power to significantly improve sustainability at OSU. I felt inspired and empowered while learning from activists and experts. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to attend!\u201d \u2013Maddie Smith<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWOHESC empowered me to advocate for sustainability in my student employment position and communicate student interest in sustainability within student government. This conference was a great stepping stone into the realm of higher education sustainability for those, like myself, who felt too under informed to raise our voices.\u201d \u2013 Quentin Comus<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
